HAMILTON, N.Y. – Colgate University senior offensive guard Ken Kubec (Parma Heights, OH/St. Ignatius  H.S.) has been named to the 2001 preseason All-America Football Team by The Sports Network.  He is a second team selection.

            Kubec, 6-foot-3, 275 pounds, was a first team all-Patriot League selection last fall, while leading the Red Raiders to their fifth straight winning season.  The senior co-captain has earned three varsity letters and started 20 straight games.

            Last season, Kubec received honorable mention All-America selection by the Football Gazette.
