ALBANY, N.Y. – The University of Albany field hockey team used four goals from four different players to defeat non-conference foe Colgate 4-0 Wednesday afternoon.

Colgate drops to 4-8 overall while Albany improves to 5-8 overall.

Albany got on the board at 23:32 when Alexis Johnson scored just inside the arc. The Great Danes went up 2-0 at 34:54 off a penalty corner from Lisa Burline. Heidi Bowen and Rhonda Corcoran also assisted on the goal.
 
Albany went up 3-0 at 54:26 as Amber Greiner got a rebound around the cage and passed it to Allison Mann. Amber Morris scored the final goal at 68:19 on a scramble in front of the net.

Colgate senior goalkeeper Sara Corcoran (Orange, Conn.) finished with 13 saves while Albany netminder Michelle De Cuffa made five stops.

Colgate plays its final Patriot League game at Lafayette on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
