ROMPS OVER COLGATE FOR A 8-0 WIN HAMILTON, N.Y. – Columbia senior co-captain Nikki Campbell (Delran, N.J.) scored an astounding four goals on the way to leading the Lions to a 8-0 win over the downtrodden Raiders on Saturday at Tyler's Field. The Lions also got some offense from senior co-captain Tina Fernandez (Hamilton Square, N.J.), who chipped in a goal and two assists, as well as Becky Schatzkin (Bethesda, Md.) with a goal and a helper. Columbia's starting goalkeeper, Molly Starsia-Lasagna (Charlottesville, Va.) was relieved of her duties with 17:40 to play after she made five saves to take the shutout. Colgate junior Sara Corcoran (Orange, Conn.) gave up six goals and made eight saves before being replaced by freshman Jess DiRubio (New Canaan, Conn.) who let in the other two Columbia goals after making six saves. The Raiders will try their luck in Ithaca on Wednesday, October 3 at 7:00 p.m. when they face Cornell.
