COLGATE'S WINNING STREAK EXTENDED TO SIX GAME WITH 14-3 TROUNCING OF LEHIGH
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Colgate women's lacrosse team is entering next weekend's Patriot League tournament on a roll. The Raiders defeated Lehigh on Saturday 14-3 to extended their winning streak to six games. Colgate led 2-1 at the 18:40 mark of the first half when they went on a 8-0 run to put the game out of reach and increase the lead to 10-1. Katie McVeigh led the Raiders with five goals, the sixth straight game she has recorded a hat trick or better. Kelly Winning and Rebecca Sandler also had hat tricks for the Raiders. In addition to her three goals, Sandler scooped up four groundballs. Colgate now 10-5 overall and 5-1 in conference enters the Patriot League tournament this weekend as the number two seed. The tournament will take place at top seed American in Washington, D.C.
