ASSISTANT COACH
Kamliah Cunningham is in her second season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Colgate. Before her arrival in Hamilton, Cunningham worked with head coach Kristin Hughes for the last four years at Case Western Reserve University. In addition to her duties with the Spartans, through 2003 Cunningham worked as the director of the N.E.O. Youth Basketball program. For eight years, Cunningham managed over 800 participants from 80 teams during the program's summer and fall activities schedule. Before joining the coaching staff at Case, Cunningham coached the girl’s basketball team at Regina High School for two seasons between 1997 and 1999. In December 2002, Cunningham completed her bachelor's degree in sociology and criminology. She attended Michigan State University on a basketball scholarship, but returned home after playing her freshman season (1995-96). She graduated from Trinity High School in 1995 after helping the girl’s basketball team, under coach Pat Diulus, to the 1994 state championship. Cunningham has a five-year-old son named Jayden. |
