(Complete Release In PDF Format)

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate University basketball team (16-10 overall, 7-6 Patriot League) closes out its regular season on Sunday, when the Raiders entertain Lafayette College in a Patriot League game at Cotterell Court.  Tip-off is 4:00 p.m.

The game will be televised live on the Empire Sports Network.

The Raiders, who have won seven of its last nine games, are currently in fifth place in the Patriot League standings after defeating Army, 82-65, Wednesday night on the road.  Lafayette enters Sunday’s game with a two-game winning streak with victories over Navy and Lehigh.  The Leopards are tied for second place in the league standings.

The Patriot League Tournament is scheduled to get underway on March 2-3 at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.  The winner of the Patriot League Championship on March 8 will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This is the 65th meeting between Colgate and Lafayette with the Raiders leading the overall series, 35-29.  Colgate has won three straight against the Leopards including a 71-67 decision earlier this season in Easton, Penn.

Senior Pat Campolieta, the first player in school history to rank in the Top 10 in career scoring (1,595), rebounding (683), assists (240) and steals (185), continues to lead Colgate in scoring and rebounding.  He is averaging 15.1 points per game and 7.2 caroms per outing, which is good for fifth place in Patriot League scoring and first in rebounding.

Campolieta moved into fourth place in career scoring on Wednesday when he scored 23 points against the Cadets.  He also had 17 rebounds against Army for his sixth double-double of the season.

Sophomore Mark Linebaugh, one of the hottest scorers in the league over the past three weeks, is second in scoring with 13.6 points.  He has been in double figures in 11 straight games.  Howard Blue is third with 10.8 points per game, followed by Dave Hardy with 8.4 ppg and Tim Sullivan 8.2 ppg.
