HAMILTON, N.Y. - Pat Campolieta scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Colgate defeated Oral Roberts, 80-68, Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game at Cotterell Court.

            Also in double figures for the Raiders (2-1) were Dave Hardy with 16 points, and Mark Linebaugh and Howard Blue with 13 apiece.

            Richie Meyers led the Golden Eagles (0-4) with a career-high 28 points, scoring 16 in the first half.  Tyrone Tiggs added 12 points and six rebounds for ORU, while Reggie Borges tallied eight points and grabbed eight rebounds.

            Oral Roberts opened the game with an 8-1 run, before the Raiders rallied to tie the contest at 15.  The rest of the first half remained tight with seven lead changes and three ties before Colgate managed a 34-33 halftime advantage. 

            In the second half, Colgate broke the game open with a 20-9 run for a 59-48 lead with 8:49 remaining.  Hardy contributed seven points and Josh Humphrey five to the decisive run.  The Raiders extended their lead to 16 points with 1:53 left as they made 13-of-15 free throws down the stretch.

            Colgate held a 31-27 advantage on the boards led by Campolieta with nine and Blue with eight.  Campolieta’s 16 points moved him into 11^th place on the Raiders’ all-time scoring list with 1,255 points. 

             GAME NOTES:  Humphrey finished with a career-high six points and five rebounds in 21 minutes of action ... Matt Shirley had a career-high four points.
