Red Raiders Seek Fourth Straight Appearance In NCAA Division I-AA Playoffs

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Colgate University head football coach Dick Biddle will greet 30 freshmen candidates on Sunday, August 13, as the Red Raiders open their 2000 preseason camp.

The upperclassmen are slated to arrive on campus, Tuesday, August 15.

The freshmen will go through their physicals and orientation on Sunday, before practicing together for the first time on Monday morning.

The upperclassmen come into camp on Tuesday afternoon and take their physicals and testing later that day. The entire squad will practice together beginning Thursday morning, August 17.

Colgate opens its season on Saturday, September 9, on the road at the University of Connecticut.

The Red Raiders were 10-2 last season and captured the Patriot League championship with a 5-1 mark. They return 11 starters and 32 letterwinners for the 2000 season.
