SIX COLGATE FOOTBALL
PLAYERS NAMED TO ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE TEAM BETHLEHEM,
PA. Six Colgate University
football players have been named to the 2000
all-Patriot League team as selected by the league
coaches.
First team selections were junior offensive
guard Ken Kubec and senior cornerback Brandon
Tinson, while second team honors were given to
senior tight end Barry HoAire, senior defensive
tackle Duevorn Harris, senior linebacker John
Costantino and senior linebacker Ahmad Russell.
Kubec, the only returning member of last
year's offensive line, is making his first
appearance on the all-league team, while Tinson
is a two-time selection finishing his career with
227 tackles and 12 interceptions.
HoAire made eight receptions for 179 yards and
four touchdowns including the game-winner
reception in Colgate's 24-21 win over Bucknell.
He and Harris are making their first appearance
on the all-league team. Harris had 28 tackles,
including seven for minus yardage, three
quarterback sacks and 11 quarterback hurries.
Costantino and Russell were named second team
for the second straight season. Costantino was
Colgate's second leading tackler with 97
including 13 TFL's, four quarterback sacks, two
fumble recoveries and one fumble caused, while
Russell made 61 tackles including 10 TFL's, seven
quarterback sacks, one interception and three
fumbles forced.
