HOLY CROSS ROLLS OVER COLGATE 32-3

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Erreick Stewart completed 11-of-18 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns to lead Holy Cross to a 32-3 Patriot League win over Colgate at Andy Kerr Stadium.

Holy Cross (6-4, 3-2) snaps a three-game losing streak to the Red Raiders, while Colgate (6-4, 3-2) drops its second straight game of the season. The Crusaders scored four touchdowns following Colgate turnovers.

Colgate took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on Russ Abrams' 19-yard field goal before Holy Cross scored twice in the second quarter for a 14-3 halftime lead. The Crusaders scored on a 22-yard interception return by Mike Blake and six-yard run by Calvin Souder following a fumble recovery by Dan Visalli on the ensuing kickoff..

After a scoreless third period, Holy Cross scored on a 26-yard pass play from Stewart to Hector Cordero-Reyes for a 20-3 lead. Then following an interception by Patrick Colgan, the Crusaders scored on a 12-yard pass play from Stewart to Nate Robbins before scoring their final TD on a 14-yard run by Souder.

Souder was the leading rusher in the game with 20 carries for 84 yards, while Colgate's Randall Joseph carried 15 times for 64. With his 64 yards rushing, Joseph becomes only the third player in Colgate history to rush for over 3,000 yards in a career with 3,026.
